Victory!

I never thought I'd actually finish my Knitting Olympics project--my own personal (secret) goal was to just make a good start on it . . . but here is my shrug (with it's arms raised in victory):

I finished it Sunday morning, while watching the Swedish Hockey Team receive their gold medals.

It felt so good, I think I'm going to order the yarn to make the shawl pictured with it in the Mission Falls book, after all ... but don't expect me to finish this one in a fortnight :-)

Sophie, it is beautiful. And the shawl is gorgeous, too. Have fun!

Your shrug is lovely. I hope your Olympic experience was a good one. It is certainly worthy of a gold. I wonder if there is a knitting anthem?

Oooh, very pretty. Maybe I ought to learn to knit. It's so portable, ya know. Glad you're going to make the shawl too, it's awesome. You get the gold!

Spectacular! You did a fabulous job on it. Makes me wish I knew how to knit, but I really don't need another hobby until I have more space.

Great shrug! almost makes me want to move North (not!) so I could wear something as cozy looking as your shrug. Gets the Gold in my book!

It really is beautiful. Knitting is the one craft that I tried & decided I was a failure. Crochet I can sculpt just about anything with, but 2 needles? Forget it! I just got tighter & tighter until I couldn't work the needles anymore!

Hey I was born & raised in Muskegon, & live in Alaska now. How's the weather in Mich.?
